Hamama gained the knowledge behind traditional coffee making through her ancestors, who taught her to love the coffee until it became a part of her daily passion.

From the city of Al Ain, her love for coffee began at an early age, and considered it a symbol of Emirati hospitality. From her love of coffee, she created a corner specialized in Gahwa Making, which includes all the utensils and tools used in for making Gahwa.

From the city of Al Ain, he has a founding certificate from the International Coffee Organization as a certified taster. He also owns a small coffee business called “Al MUTHAYEL”.

From the Republic of Indonesia, he is the head of roasting at The Espresso Lab and Head of Operation at Tel Roastery. He participated in the Gahwa Championships to fulfill his curiosity and connect with the Emirati culture of drinking coffee.

From Nepal, he was born and raised in a coffee farms area in the mountains of Nepal. He loves coffee and the diversity of its cultures. Roasting is also his hobby and main job.

From the Republic of Indonesia, He works in the roasting department at The Espresso Lab. For him, roasting in the traditional Emirati way, and his experience and knowledge of it, is no less important than appreciating the technology that the roasters have now.

From the city of Abu Dhabi, Mariam learned the traditional way of roasting coffee from her mother. She joys drinking her coffee fresh, so she roasts her coffee daily by herself using traditional tools.

Afra Al Khyali is a founding member of the ‘Zaman Lawal Heritage Village’ at Telal Resort Al Ain in Al Ain and has been a supervisor of its cultural activities for eight years. She won three silver medals in the Dubai World Hospitality Championship. Afra is also a certified trainer of falconry (for girls) at the Mohammed bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School. She has participated in many heritage and cultural festivals such as the Al Dhafra Festival.
RUNNER UP - Medium/Dark Roast
He holds a master's degree in private law, a poet and researcher in Arabic coffee. He participated in several cultural forums, such as the Million's Poet program, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed poetry competition, Al Burda Award and Al Dhafra Festival.

Ahmed Al Ahbabi was born in Al Ain City, the city of heritage, customs and traditions and won first He is a First Officer in the heritage programmes at the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre in the Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution in Al Ain.
